Frozen Ecological Vegetables from Congelados de Navarra

Congelados de Navarra expands its catalogue with a wide range of ecological vegetables.

Traditionally, all vegetables produced by Congelados de Navarra have followed strict sustainable agriculture criteria and are free of genetically modified organisms. However, in order to meet the needs of an increasingly demanding consumer in relation to environmental and health-related issues we have the first vegetables to be labelled with an ECOLOGICAL stamp, complying with the European Regulations for Organic Farming as well as being CPAEN certified (Navarra Council of Organic Agricultural Production).

Ecological farming, also known as biological or organic farming, follows environmentally friendly farming methods, without using toxic chemicals (fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, etc.), without genetically modified seeds (called GM or GMO) while respecting natural soil fertility and life. Its purpose is to get healthy, mature food, with all of the flavour, aroma, texture and vitality as well as all the advantages that come with healthy foods. Eggplant, broccoli, zucchini, onion, cauliflower, pepper and carrot were the first ecological vegetables to be served to our customers with the CPAEN certification.

With projects like this, Congelados de Navarra not only wants to meet a growing demand for ecological products, but also aims to engage with and commit more to environmental causes and healthy eating.
